Wonderfully Tasty Classes
I am a ridiculously charming 5th generation Master Chocolatier with a real love for teaching and bringing people together. I’ve been making chocolates now for over 20 years and teaching for the last 10. From 6 year olds to 80, from beginner foodies to chefs-in-training at Fort Lee’s Advanced Culinary Program, and from VCU science and engineering students to the Society of Women Engineers, I have taught them all. Please don’t hesitate to ask how I can customize a class or demonstration to the needs of your group! My team and I are looking forward to being of service to you.
Old World Truffles
Nothing sets you up for a great day like having your hand in a bowl of chocolate! Whether you’re looking for a truly memorable team building experience or you just want to say Thank You for a job well done, a chocolate truffle class is the answer! In our chocolate shop or your office building, we will guide your group as each person creates a batch of decadent chocolate truffles of his or her own design. We will provide a wide variety of spices, extracts, and toppings for your folks to choose from. (Approximately 24 chocolates from each recipe)
This class is a low-key, relaxed 1 1/2-2 hour class. Class sizes range from 8 minimum up to 75, and each participant takes home what they make in a nice box. Some will share; some will crouch in a dark room with said box until all evidence of chocolate has been eradicated. It’s a matter of personal preference, no judgement from us!
$35 per person, all materials provided including aprons to keep everyone looking gorgeous.
*Need to get a gift for someone missing your event or just your favorite coworker? Do your employees want us to bring them additional goodies from our selection? Or are you just itching to blow the rest of your budget for this class?? We’re here to help! Check out the Class Extras form below.
The Sweet Science of Chocolate
This is where we get to geek out about the inner workings of this delightful polymer. What is polymorphism and why does it matter? What does chocolate look like under the microscope? How does eutectics play a part in confections? How do you say eutectics? Emulsions vs. Suspensions?? Oh My!
This class is a bit more technical, and it makes for a fantastic field trip or in house demonstration for students, library groups, and STEM camps. Class size 8-30 preferred, each student gets to take his/her science project home.
Cost: $35.00 per student of all ages, approx. 90 minutes. All materials provided.
